Flovonix ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have in connection with that information when you visit flovonix.com (the "Site") or use our irrigation management platform and related services (the "Services").
By accessing the Site or using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Use.
We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
Account Registration When you create a Flovonix account, we collect your first and last name, email address, and a password.
Service Address To identify your local water authority and build your irrigation schedule, we collect the physical address of the property where your Device is or will be installed, including street address, city, state, county, and ZIP code.
Order and Billing Information When you place an order, we collect information necessary to process your purchase, including your selected plan and installation type. Payment card data is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications If you contact us by email or through the Site, we collect the content of your message and your contact information.
Profile Updates Any information you voluntarily update in your account settings, such as a phone number or updated service address.
Device Telemetry Once your OpenSprinkler irrigation controller is linked to your Flovonix account, we collect data from the Device, including its online/offline status, last-connected timestamp, scheduled program data, manual override events, and cycle run logs.
Address Verification When you enter a service address on the Site (including the coverage checker on the homepage), we use the Google Maps API to validate and parse address components such as street number, street name, city, state, county, and ZIP code. See Section 5.3 for details on Google's data practices.
Usage Data We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Site, including pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, time spent, and navigation paths.
Log Data Our servers automatically record standard log data when you access the Site, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps.
Cookies and Similar Technologies We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 4 below.
Water Authority Data Our AI system retrieves publicly available irrigation restriction and rule information from your local water authority's official publications, websites, and announcements. This information is used to build and maintain your irrigation schedule — it is not personal information about you.
Weather Data We receive weather forecast and precipitation data from third-party weather service providers to inform weather-aware scheduling decisions (such as skipping a cycle when rain is forecast).
Payment Processors Our payment processor may share transaction status and limited billing information with us to confirm successful charges or flag failed payments.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Providing and Operating the Services
Billing and Payments
Communications
Improving the Services
Legal and Safety
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising on third-party platforms.
We share your information only as described below.
We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are contractually obligated to protect it.
We may disclose your information if we believe disclosure is required to:
If Flovonix is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other business transfer, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share your information with other parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for example, aggregate statistics about irrigation water savings across our customer base — without restriction.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site and Services.
Session Cookies are temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. We use them to keep you logged in during a browsing session.
Persistent Cookies remain on your device for a set period. We use them to remember your preferences and, if you choose "Remember Me" at login, to keep you signed in across sessions.
Analytics — We may use analytics tools to understand how users navigate the Site. These tools may place cookies to track usage across sessions.
Third-Party Cookies — Google Maps API may set cookies when the address autocomplete feature is active on the Site. These cookies are governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Site, including the ability to stay logged in.
We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no industry-standard mechanism for doing so.
The Device is an OpenSprinkler v3.4 WiFi controller. When your Device is connected to Flovonix, we communicate with it via the OpenSprinkler local API over your home network. If you also use the OpenSprinkler app or web interface independently, your use of those services is governed by OpenSprinkler's own terms and privacy policy.
We use AWS for cloud infrastructure, AI model access (Amazon Bedrock), and email delivery (Amazon SES). Data processed through AWS services is subject to AWS's data processing agreements and security standards. AWS does not use your data to train its own AI models without your consent.
We use the Google Maps Places API to power address autocomplete and validation on the Site. When you type an address into a Flovonix input field, your input may be sent to Google's servers to generate autocomplete suggestions. This data transfer occurs when you use any address input field on the Site, including the coverage checker on the homepage, and may occur before you have created a Flovonix account or agreed to our Terms of Use. Users who do not wish to have their address input transmitted to Google's servers should not use the address autocomplete feature. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including the OpenSprinkler website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Specific retention practices:
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize your information.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@flovonix.com.
The Site and Services are intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting privacy@flovonix.com. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time, subject to retention obligations described in Section 6. Deleting your account will terminate your subscription and remove remote management of your Device.
If we send you marketing or promotional emails, each email will include an unsubscribe link. You may also opt out by contacting us at privacy@flovonix.com. Note that you cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your account, order, or Device status while your account is active.

If your appeal is denied, you may contact the attorney general of your state of residence.
Flovonix operates in the United States and processes your information on servers located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or by a notice on the Site prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the Site or Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
